František PLOCEK

Born in 1949 - he comes from Loučná nad Desnou, which is known as a breeding ground for clarinetists and brass players in general (e.g. the very famous Dixieland from Loučná nad Desnou). He originally trained as an electrician, then studied clarinet at the Ostrava Conservatory. Already during his studies (1968) he became a member of the band Technik, in which he worked until the end of the 80s (approx. 1988). Professionally, he was originally a member of the opera orchestra of the Ostrava Theater, then a member of the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra in Ostrava. Today he works as a clarinet teacher at ZUŠ Hlučín. His greatest strength was a noble tone and a sense of the cantilena, which is evidenced by a number of great recordings of Radio Ostrava.
